Can you imagine being tasked with coming up with story contrivences to facilitate the writing of the Jimmy Buffet jukebox musical

Aaaaand I had to see it again before it left theaters - if you have a chance in the next week, go watch Sinners! 🍿

We saw Carsie Blanton in concert last night. We left feeling hopeful. What an incredible artist.

Rats Art #1

An illustration of a woman sitting and drinking tea reading in a gloomy Victorian study, while mysterious rodent figures observe from the shadowy foreground beneath a chair.

My very first piece of illustration work for a FitD hack I’m designing with @darkwingdork.bsky.social and @talesofkaimere.bsky.social.

It’s called Rats In The Walls, about rodent stealth and survival in the walls and beneath the floorboards of a spooky, human-inhabited manor. Think The Borrowers meets Secret of NIMH. Players venture into the manor, stealing food and scraps from unsuspecting residents, aiding or slighting other rodent factions.

Hopefully this image gets across the game’s particular blend of whimsy and gloom. 🙂🎨

Sinners was genuinely incredible, I can’t stop thinking about it. 🍿
